Job summary

Reed Practice is recruiting on behalf of a Colchester-based chartered certified accountancy firm for an Accountant to join a high-calibre team. The role covers preparing accounts for Sole Trader, Partnership and Limited Company clients to FRS 102/FRS 105, plus corporation tax and self-assessment returns.

You will use Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Excel, Dext and CCH in a collaborative, supportive environment with hybrid working and solid development opportunities.

Qualifications

• AAT or ACCA qualification preferred.
• Proven experience providing accounting services within an accounting firm.
• Strong Xero experience desired.
• Excellent communication, organisational and time-keeping skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Sole Trader, Partnership and Limited Company accounts to FRS 102/FRS 105.
• Prepare associated Corporation Tax returns.
• Prepare self-assessment tax returns.
• Provide bookkeeping services and support clients with queries.
• Liaise with HM Revenue & Customs on behalf of clients.
• Advise clients on a variety of accounting queries.
• Use systems such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Excel, Dext, CCH.

Reed Practice have been engaged by a respectable chartered certified accountancy firm based in Colchester, to recruit an Accountant for their high calibre team.

The firm has been providing businesses and individuals services for decades, but still move with the times, adapting to changing markets, a testament to their outlook, talents and service.

The role of Accountant will include -

• Preparing Sole Trader, Partnership and Limited Company accounts for a variety of clients, to FRS 102 Section A and FRS 105
• Preparing associated Corporation Tax returns.
• Preparing self-assessment tax returns
• Providing bookkeeping services and supporting clients with their bookkeeping queries when required.
• Liaising with H M Revenue & Customs on behalf of, and regarding clients.
• Advising clients on a variety of queries.
• You will use various systems such as Xero, Quickbooks, Sage, Excel, Dext, CCH
