Accountant - Commercial Analyst

The Client is seeking a detail-oriented, process driven and commercially minded Accountant - Commercial Analyst to join their dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for both accounting and commercial operations. The role is offered on a contract basis with the potential to transition into a permanent position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing and payments
  • Perform daily bank reconciliations and maintain accurate general ledger records
  • Support commercial operations by capturing and reviewing metal-related sales/purchase invoices
  • Assist with quarterly deposit balance calculations and reconciliations
  • Contribute to the preparation of VAT filings and support indirect tax compliance
  • Maintain internal controls in line with SOX compliance and support external audits
  • Participate in ad-hoc financial and commercial projects as required
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-5 years of post-qualification experience, ideally with exposure to public companies
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, SOX compliance, and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
  • Experience with indirect tax and commercial contracts is a plus
