Job description

Shift Pursuit has partnered with a growing firm that provides accounting and bookkeeping services to an international client base. They are looking to appoint a qualified and experienced Accountant/Bookkeeper to join their team.

Requirements:

• Experience working on NetSuite and Xero
• The ability to provide strong bookkeeping and accounting support to clients
• A background in an audit or accounting firm
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
• A BCom degree
• Completed SAIPA articles

Key Performance Areas:

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple clients, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions
• Process accounts payable and receivable, including invoice capturing, payment allocations, and reconciliations
• Maintain general ledgers and prepare monthly management accounts
• Perform bank, credit card, and intercompany reconciliations
• Assist in preparing VAT returns and ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations (UK/UAE)
• Support year-end processes and liaise with auditors as required
• Assist clients with payroll processing and related statutory submissions (where applicable)
• Prepare cash flow reports, budgets, and forecasting schedules
• Provide accounting support and advisory to clients, responding to queries and offering insights
• Maintain client files and ensure all documentation is up to date and audit-ready
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards in the relevant jurisdictions
