Job summary

Duncan & Toplis is seeking a Business Services Adviser in Grantham to deliver fully drafted accounts with complete working papers and develop client relationships. You will support and train team members while collaborating with senior leaders to add value from day one.

Ideal candidates are fully qualified or experienced in accountancy practice, with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset, strong communication and relationship-building skills, and a collaborative approach to ongoing development

Responsibilities

• Deliver fully drafted sets of accounts with complete working papers.
• Develop client relationships and training/reviewing team members.
• Support a diverse client base while developing technical and commercial skills.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and take ownership from day one.
• Complete relevant sections of the working papers and sign off job stages.
• Identify key issues or changes for the manager to review.
• Keep technical knowledge up to date in key areas.

The Opportunity

This role offers the chance to work on delivering fully drafted sets of accounts with complete working papers, developing client relationships and training and reviewing work of team members. You will besupporting a diverse client base while developing both your technical and commercial skills.

You’ll collaborate closely with senior leaders and be encouraged to take ownership, build relationships and add value to clients from day one.

Key areas of focus may include:

• Complete all relevant sections of the working papers and sign off relevant job stages
• Identifying key issues or changes for the manger to review
• Keeping technical knowledge up to date in key areas; this may be financial but also sector-specific
• Information from clients obtained successfully.
• Assisting with progression of team members
