Job description

Due to continued business growth, our client is looking to recruit an Experienced Accountant / Accounts Senior to join their busy Scunthorpe team.

You will be responsible for undertaking the preparation of accounts and assisting with the provision of a comprehensive accounting and business advisory service to a portfolio of clients within a variety of industries within a knowledgeable and friendly team.

Your key duties will include:

  • Preparation and review of statutory and management accounts, as well as the associated corporation tax computations and returns.
  • Preparation of Self-Assessment Tax returns.
  • Supporting clients with queries.
  • Assisting with on-the-job training of trainees while meeting work priorities. Monitor progress of work tasked to trainees, review and provide appropriate feedback.
Benefits

37.5-hour week - 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday with an hour for lunch.

20 days plus Bank Holidays increasing after continuous service.

Salary is negotiable depending on experience (Qualified, part qualified, or qualified by experience).

Part-time and hybrid working would be considered.

This role is based at the Scunthorpe office, but occasional trips to other local offices may be required.

Previous practice experience is essential.
