Job description

This Accountant position, available from Senior Accountant to Manager level, with a firm of accountants in Milton Keynes offers unique and attractive benefits, with the firm’s flexibility and generous employment terms being rare.

In addition to private healthcare and pension, holidays are generous at between 30 and 33 days to start, and the hybrid working model allows you to work from home. Initially, more office time may be required, so living within a reasonable commute of Milton Keynes is advisable. The package includes:

  • Flexibility on start times between 8 and 9 am and finish times between 4.30 and 5.30 pm
  • Profit share / bonus, payable up to twice per year
  • Regular pay reviews and ongoing career development opportunities

The role can be filled at levels from Accountant to Manager, and applicants ranging from part-qualified (ACCA / ACA or AAT), to fully qualified or 'qualified by experience' accountants with proven practice experience are encouraged to apply.

This role may include the following duties:

  • Supporting management
  • Reviewing and managing a portfolio of jobs within the accounts team
  • Managing client portfolios, including budgeting, negotiation, billing, and recovery
  • Managing statutory accounts preparation assignments
  • Preparing or reviewing Corporate Tax Returns
  • Preparing or reviewing Personal Tax Returns
  • Finalizing accounts
  • Working with Xero and QuickBooks Online, and advising on cloud-based solutions

Remuneration will depend on experience; the figures provided are indicative, and offers will be made after interviews.
