Job Description:
Responsibilities
- Accounts Receivable - Preparing sales invoices and ensuring prompt payment by customers, working closely with our Financial Controller and the Account Management team. This is a high-value, low-volume business, making this a crucial part of the role.
- Accounts Payable - checking purchase invoices against contracts, reviewing, entering on Xero, and obtaining manager sign-off where necessary.
- Operate in a paperless environment with high workflow automation, integrating online tools through Google Mail and Xero. The focus is on ensuring care, control, and value in purchasing and reporting functions.
- Preparing payment runs for sign-off by the Financial Controller and CFO.
- Checking and authorising staff expenses for payment.
- Maintaining the Fixed Assets register.
- Performing daily bank reconciliations in multiple currencies.
- Assisting with VAT returns, payroll, audit, creating supporting schedules, and corporation tax returns.
- Supporting the Finance & People departments with other duties as required.

A more skilled and experienced candidate may take on additional accounting duties, such as:
- Nominal Ledger journals
- Prepayments and Accruals
