Skills

AAT Level 3 or 4 qualification or equivalent experience
Experience with Sage Accounts & Payroll
Strong understanding of accounts payable and financial reporting
Good understanding of excel spreadsheets and bookkeeping
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Are you an experienced accounts professional looking for a new opportunity? We are recruiting for an Accountant to join our client’s friendly and supportive team. This is a temporary role and permanent for the right person.

The Role

As an Accountant, you will work within a small, dedicated accounts team, ensuring the smooth running of financial operations. Reporting to the Financial Director, this role is based at the company’s head office on the outskirts of Skegness.

Employment Type: Temporary, with the potential to become permanent

Hours: 4 days per week, 9am – 5pm

Salary: Competitive, based on experience

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounts Team Duties:
    • Processing payments
    • Purchase ledger postings
    • Bank reconciliation
    • Journal posting
  • Individual Responsibilities:
    • VAT returns
    • Internal audits to resolve discrepancies
    • Preparing quarterly accounts to trial balance
    • External financial reporting
    • Payroll administration
Skills & Experience Required
  • AAT Level 3 or 4 qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with Sage Accounts & Payroll (advantageous)
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable and financial reporting
  • A good understanding of excel spreadsheets and book keeping
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
