About the role:

• £23.60 per hour
• Monday to Friday
• Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week
• Duration: Temporary, ongoing for 12 months with the possibility of an extension for a further 12 months

What you'll be doing in this role:

• The post holder will be responsible for providing effective, efficient, and economical Financial Assessments and Direct Payments functions. They will manage two Cash Offices and other accounting functions, supporting continuous improvement aligned with the Trust's strategic objectives.
• Manage department systems and processes to ensure they are fit for purpose, compliant with DoH regulations, and support Trust decision-making. Ensure appropriate banking and cash management arrangements for Public Funds, Charitable Funds, and Patients'/clients' monies.
• Support the Head of Financial Services in meeting financial management and performance targets, including Ministerial priorities, statutory requirements, and service quality within a financial framework.
• Provide leadership to department staff and deputise for the Head of Financial Services as needed.

What you'll need for this role:

• Full membership of one of the five professional accounting institutes within CCAB or CIMA
• AND
• A minimum of two years' experience in a senior finance role
• Valid UK driving licence and access to a car, or alternative transport if disabled
• Knowledge and experience of computerized financial systems and Microsoft Office, with the ability to utilize them fully
