We're looking for an ambitious and resilient Accountant to join our Finance team in Thame. This isn't a role for someone looking for a quiet, predictable position with well-established processes. We're going through a significant period of change across both the business and finance function, creating a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and making a real impact.
If you're the type of person who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys getting stuck into the detail, isn't afraid of rolling up your sleeves and sees challenge as an opportunity rather than a problem, we'd love to hear from you.
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting business growth, driving improvements and providing valuable insight to stakeholders across the organisation.
We're interested in people who are qualified by experience, part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) or working towards a qualification.
More importantly, we're looking for someone who:
To be transparent, this role comes with plenty of opportunity and challenge.
You’ll be joining a department that is evolving, where some processes are still developing and where finance is highly visible across the business. As a visible member of the finance team, you’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation, providing financial insight and support. Success in the role will come from building strong relationships, communicating effectively and helping others understand the story behind the numbers.
For the right person, this creates an excellent platform for learning, development and career growth. You’ll have the opportunity to influence change, shape new ways of working and make a genuine difference.
This is a hybrid role based in Thame, with the expectation of being in the office three days per week and working from home two days per week. Applicants should ideally live within approximately one hour's commute of the office.
