Accountant

South Shields, up to £35,000, Permanent

We are representing an established accountancy firm based in South Shields, looking for an Accountant on a full-time, permanent basis. Their team is renowned for its client-focused approach, and supportive work environment. You must be able to demonstrate experience in a similar role.

It is an office-based role, with ad hoc days working from home.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring all transactions are accurate and comply with legal regulations.
  • Manage all aspects of bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
  • Prepare financial statements, tax returns, and other financial reports.
  • Provide strategic financial advice to clients, helping them to make informed business decisions.
