Description
- Managing a portfolio of clients with varying business sizes and sectors
- Serving as the day-to-day point of contact for assigned clients
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Technical Accounting Work
- Preparing and reviewing annual accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
- Handling complex accounting issues and ensuring compliance with accounting standards
- Preparing corporation tax and personal tax returns
- Reviewing VAT returns and other regulatory filings
- Providing technical advice on accounting and tax matters
Team Leadership
- Supervising and mentoring junior accountants and trainees
- Delegating and reviewing work completed by more junior staff
- Providing technical guidance and training to team members
- Conducting performance reviews for direct reports
Profile
- ACCA/ACA qualified or finalist (or equivalent professional qualification)
- Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in an accounting practice
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience with UK GAAP and IFRS
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
- Experience preparing and reviewing statutory accounts
- Tax compliance knowledge (corporate and personal tax)
- Ability to manage a portfolio of clients independently
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Experience supervising junior staff members
- Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Client relationship management experience
