Practice Accountant

Location: Seaford, East Sussex
Salary: £28,000 – £42,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Contract: Full-time, permanent

A well-regarded accountancy firm in Seaford is seeking a proactive and technically strong Accountant to join their growing practice. This is an ideal role for a part-qualified, qualified, or QBE professional looking to take the next step in a varied and client-facing position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies

  • Managing and reviewing VAT returns, bookkeeping records, and management accounts

  • Handling client queries and building trusted long-term relationships

  • Assisting with tax computations and submissions (corporation and personal tax)

  • Supervising junior staff and reviewing work where required

What We’re Looking For:

  • Practice experience is essential—ideally 3+ years in a UK accountancy firm

  • ACCA/ACA part-qualified, fully qualified, or qualified by experience

  • Strong working knowledge of accounting and tax principles

  • Skilled in cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage

  • Strong organisational skills and an ability to manage your own portfolio
