A growing accounting practice in Port Talbot is seeking a qualified Accountant to join their supportive team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of practice experience and will be responsible for preparing year-end accounts, tax returns, and advising clients. What we’re looking for
We’re on the lookout for a qualified or QBE accountant with at least 3 years’ solid practice experience.
You might be newly ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified via AAT and hands-on experience, either is fine with us, as long as you know your stuff and have a proactive, can-do approach.
We’re not big on hierarchy or ego. We are big on inclusivity, teamwork and doing the work well.
The role
This is a varied accounts role where you’ll work closely with clients and help junior staff grow too.
You’ll need to be confident in managing your own workload and flexible in how you work, we’re a small team, and we like to share the load.
- Preparing year-end accounts for Ltd companies, sole traders and partnerships
- Preparing corporation tax returns and CT comps
- Preparing VAT returns
- Preparing self-assessment tax returns
- Advising clients on PAYE, pensions, and other accounting queries
- Supporting and reviewing junior team members’ work (bookkeeping, VAT etc.)

Preferred requirements
- 2+ years’ practice experience
- Qualified AAT, ACA, or ACCA (or qualified by experience)
- Confident preparing year-end accounts, CT600s, VAT and personal tax
- Comfortable with cloud accounting software

Hours: Full or part-time (18–30 hours), flexible working available
Salary: Depends on experience, but we pay fairly for the value you bring
