Job summary

Nigel Wright Group is seeking an Accountant for a temporary to permanent position based in the North East. The role involves supporting the finance team, handling day-to-day accounting, and attending occasional meetings at the local office while remote working most of the time.

You will need up to 10 years' experience in mid-level finance, ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent, and the ability to work independently while building relationships with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Up to 10 years of experience in a mid-level finance position.
• Ability to work independently and manage payments/banking processes.

Responsibilities

• Support the Finance Team lead with day to day accounting and financial administration.
• Review invoices, prepare payments and complete reconciliations.
• Liaise with stakeholders to track expenditure and project costs.
• Support budget monitoring and budget v actual reporting.
• Cashflow monitoring.
• Liaise with external accountants.
• Invoice review and payment reconciliation.
• Budget monitoring and forecasting.
• Support the finance function with improvements to processes and controls.

About You

• You will likely be a Qualified Accountant ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• Qualified by Experience candidates will be considered with relevant experience
• Have up to 10 years of experience in a mid level finance position

• Able to build relationships with all stakeholders both finance and non finance
