Job Title: Accountant

Location: Redditch, Worcestershire

Salary: £35,000 - £41,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Job Type: Full-time | Permanent

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team based in Redditch. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong accounting skills to play a hands-on role in supporting the financial health of a growing organisation.

You'll be responsible for a broad range of accounting duties including financial reporting, reconciliations, and supporting the month-end close, with scope for career development and progression.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reports
  • Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
  • Processing and reconciling invoices, payments, and bank transactions
  • Managing accruals, prepayments, and journals
  • Supporting year-end audit and statutory reporting
  • Ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
  • Liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders as required
Requirements:
  • AAT qualified or currently studying ACCA/CIMA (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a similar accounting or finance role
  • Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and financial processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines
