We are recruiting for a talented Accountant to join a long-established family run business, based on the outskirts of Maidenhead, in a stand-alone accounting role. The role would be ideal for an accounting professional who has worked within an engineering, manufacturing or servicing environment, although this isn’t essential.
This is a full time, office-based role that will manage the accounts department, supporting the continued success of the business.
The firm offers a discretionary profit related bonus, dependent on company results, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, and a friendly, very supportive work environment, that is reflected in the very low staff turnover.
As Accountant, your responsibilities will include:
- All aspects of bookkeeping using Sage
- Production of monthly management accounts
- Producing VAT returns
- In-house payroll production for a small team
- Employee expenses
- Production of daily cash reports
- Year-end accounts production
- Liaising with auditors
- Consolidation of group accounts
- Liaising with suppliers
- Credit control
- Dealing with utilities, insurances, company contracts and other administrative duties
- Liaising with the management team to ensure the smooth functioning of the business

- Be able to work independently and also comfortable in a collaborative team environment
