Accountant (6 Month FTC)

Salary: £58,000

Location: London – 3 days on site/ 2 days WFH

Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Interim Accountant for a 6-month fixed term contract, with a view for an extension or go permanent. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a leading beauty company at an incredible value.

What you'll do:

• Perform general ledger related accounting activities such as month end close, account reconciliations, and financial audits.
• Assist in account analysis and fulfil all associated reporting requirements.
• Maintain balance sheet accounts, assist in VAT returns preparation and corporation tax accruals.
• Reconcile eCommerce, credit card accounts, and intercompany accounts.
• Assist in the month end process including preparing and posting journals.
• Maintain all Balance sheet accounts.
• Assist in the maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register.
• Organise payment for VAT, corporation tax and PSA.
• Provide training for new employees for the PO process.
• Provide external auditors with assistance and gather necessary account information and documents for audit.
• Assist on the preparation of the Statutory Accounts.

What you bring:

• Newly qualified accountant ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical problem-solving aptitude with attention to detail.
• Strong management accounts and month-end experience.
• Ability to organise work efficiently when dealing with large amounts of information.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software (i.e. advanced excel skills and NetSuite/SAP).
