The Role

As Accountant, you’ll lead our Finance team and play a key role in strategic planning, financial governance, and operational delivery. You will ensure robust financial management, provide insightful reporting, and support decision-making across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide strategic financial advice to the company Directors.
  • Oversee financial governance, risk management and internal controls.
  • Support business development, investment appraisal, and funding requirements
  • Lead in the preparation of year-end accounts and liaison with auditors, ensuring that the financial statements are prepared in line with statutory requirements and that all year end deadlines are met.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team.

Key requirements

  • Preferable CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified (will consider QBE)
  • Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role.
  • Proven experience working within SME, fast pace environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and impact the decisions and financial performance of senior stakeholders and their teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and drive results under tight timelines
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools including Microsoft Excel.
