Job summary

Butler Rose Public Practice in Radcliffe seeks an experienced Accountant for an independent accountancy firm. Responsibilities

• Prepare accounts for limited companies, partnerships, pensions and trusts
• Handle business and personal tax compliance, including tax returns
• Support bookkeeping, VAT, management accounts and statutory work
• Liaise with clients, providing professional and responsive service
• Manage workload to deadlines and assist during busy periods
• Contribute to marketing and practice development where possible

Accountant - Independent Accountancy Firm

Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting an established accountancy practice in Radcliffe with the recruitment of an Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice professional with a minimum of 4 years recent UK general practice experience across accounts and tax service lines.

The role offers a broad mix of accounts production and tax compliance, with scope to get involved across other areas of the practice depending on your experience and interests. Open to full-time and part-time candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accounts for limited companies, unincorporated businesses, pension schemes, trusts and other entities
• Handle business and personal tax compliance, including preparation and submission of relevant tax returns
• Support with bookkeeping, VAT, management accounts, tax planning and company statutory work where required
• Liaise with clients and business contacts, providing a professional and responsive service
• Manage your workload effectively, working to deadlines and supporting the team during busy periods
• Contribute to wider areas of the practice such as marketing and practice development where appropriate

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum 4 years recent practical experience within a UK general practice - Essential
• Experience preparing accounts and dealing with business and personal tax compliance
• AAT, ACCA, ACA or QBE considered
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Friendly, positive and willing to get involved across the practice
• Cloud software experience including Xero, Sage and Microsoft
