Job summary

Internationalinsuranceprofessionals is seeking an experienced accountant to join the Finance Team. You will support day-to-day financial operations, month-end closings, and the preparation of financial statements under US GAAP and IFRS across a multinational environment.

Ideal candidates have 3–8+ years in finance/accounting, with strong Excel skills and experience in investment firms or funds, plus CPA/ACCA/CFA progress or finalist status.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Pursuing CPA/ACCA/CFA or finalist would be a plus.
• 3–8+ years in finance/accounting; experience with proprietary trading/investment firm is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with cross-location coordination.

Responsibilities

Position Overview:

We are looking for an accountant to join the Finance Team. Prior experience in accounting, auditing or finance with a proprietary trading firm/investment fund/alternative investment firm is a must. The accountant will assist in day-to-day financial operations of the group, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial reporting and compliance with accounting principles and regulations. As a multinational corporation, the company requires the candidate to have excellent communication skills to coordinate with colleagues stationed in different locations and work considering different time zones.

• Assist in the group's day-to-day financial operations. Collaborate with colleagues from the broader finance department and liaise with other relevant parties within the organization.


• Assist in the month-end closing procedures of the group. Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules and conduct monthly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.


• Assist in preparing consolidated/stand-alone financial statements for the group under US GAAP, IFRS and local reporting standards, in a timely and accurate manner.


• Coordinate with external and internal teams for monthly NAV reports and related schedules.


• Participate in various finance projects /ad-hoc requests from controller and other departments.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field,


• Pursuing an accredited accounting qualification such as CPA, ACCA, CFA or equivalent, or being a finalist in any of these qualifications, would be a plus


• Minimum of 3 - 8+ years of finance and accounting experience; experience with a proprietary trading firm/investment fund/alternative investment firm a plus


• Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including US GAAP and IFRS.


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


• Hands-on experience with accounting software and financial management systems. Workday Financials are a plus.


• Proficient in Excel and adept at using technology.


• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy.


• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.


• Self-starter and can work with minimal supervision
