Job description

Jenson Fisher are delighted to be recruiting a Management Accountant on a permanent, full time basis to join an award winning, owner managed SME business with a strong presence within the construction industry. Reporting into the Directors, the Accountant will essentially run the finance function taking ownership and accountability for all monthly and statutory reporting whilst leading and motivating the transactional team to maintain all transactional finance.

On a day to day basis the duties of the Management Accountant will include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts and annual financial statements.
• Budgeting and forecasting.
• Leading through the month end and year end processes.
• Authorise payment runs on a weekly basis.
• Reconcile the monthly and quarterly VAT returns.
• Maintenance of the fixed asset register.
• Gathering key business data / KPIs and providing to the senior management as required.
• Preparation of CIS returns and reconciling as required.
• All HMRC reporting.
• Continuous management of the finance department whilst consistently improving processes and procedures.

As the Management Accountant, you will have previous experience working within a similar role and whilst you may be in possession of your full accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CA or equivalent) this is not essential. You will consider yourself analytical in nature whilst possessing the ability to manage both your own workload and that of your team.
