Overview
- Location: Edinburgh
- Salary: Up to £27,000 pro rata (based on 3 days per week)
- Hours: Tuesday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:30pm (1 hour lunch)
- Hybrid working available for 1 day per week
- Full Right to Work in the UK is Essential
Key Responsibilities
- Day-to-day bookkeeping and management of purchase & sales ledgers
- Processing supplier invoices and monthly payments
- Preparing monthly management accounts and year-end accounts
- Liaising with external auditors
- Monthly composite reporting to the manufacturer
- Bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations
- Cash flow management and VAT returns
- Payroll preparation and liaison with external HR company
- Producing monthly management accounts for an associated rental & training business (using Xero software)
Requirements
- Proven accounting or bookkeeping experience, ideally within the motor trade
- Strong knowledge of accounting software (experience with Pinnacle or similar is advantageous but not essential)
- High attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
- Reliable, professional, and friendly approach
- An interest in motorbikes is highly beneficial
