Company Accountant Manufacturing Sector
Location: On-site, Full-time
Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 per year (DOE)

About the Role

A well-established and growing UK-based manufacturer of industrial equipment is seeking a hands-on and experienced Company Accountant to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute directly to the company's ongoing growth plans and operational excellence.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and reconcile the company cashbook
2. Prepare weekly and monthly supplier payment runs for approval
3. Manage credit control, including resolution of outstanding queries
4. Assist with procurement activities and raising of purchase orders
5. Prepare and post general ledger journal entries
6. Produce accurate month-end management accounts
7. Maintain the Fixed Asset Register
8. Monitor and update product costing records
9. Participate in planning and execution of stock counts and valuations
10. Submit quarterly VAT returns
11. Support with additional ad-hoc finance or administrative duties as required

Candidate Profile:

1. AAT Level 4 qualified or qualified by experience
2. Proficient in Sage and Microsoft Office applications
3. Strong IT aptitude and willingness to learn new systems quickly
4. Analytical, organised, and capable of working independently
5. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
6. Attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and deadlines
7. Proactive and professional with a positive approach to work
