Get Recruited (UK) Ltd partners with an established Bury-based Chartered Accountants practice to recruit an Accountant. The role covers a varied portfolio including limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, pension schemes, trusts and individuals.

The firm seeks an experienced practitioner with at least four years’ UK practice experience to join a friendly team focused on client service and practical accounting solutions.

Qualifications

• Four years' recent experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Experience preparing accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Strong knowledge of corporation tax and personal tax compliance.
• Confident liaising with clients and explaining financial information clearly.
• Commercial awareness of fees and the practice business model.
• Strong IT skills including Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end statutory accounts for limited companies.
• Produce accounts for sole traders and partnerships.
• Prepare accounts for pension schemes and trusts.
• Complete corporation tax computations and returns.
• Prepare personal tax returns.
• Liaise with clients regarding accounts and tax queries.
• Ensure assignments are completed accurately and within deadlines.
• Support bookkeeping and VAT return preparation where required.
• Produce management accounts.
• Travel occasionally to meet clients.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Get Recruited is partnering with an established firm of Chartered Accountants based in Bury to find an Accountant for their team. The practice supports a varied portfolio of limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, pension schemes, trusts and individual clients.

Due to an increase in client demand, the firm is looking for an experienced Accountant with at least four years' recent experience working within a UK accountancy practice to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice professional who enjoys varied client work and wants to join a friendly team where attitude, practical ability and client service are paramount.

THE ACCOUNTANT ROLE

• Preparing year-end statutory accounts for limited companies
• Producing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and other unincorporated businesses
• Preparing accounts for pension schemes, trusts and other specialist entities
• Completing corporation tax computations and returns
• Preparing personal tax returns
• Liaising directly with clients regarding accounts, taxation and routine queries
• Ensuring assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
• Supporting bookkeeping and VAT return preparation where required
• Producing management accounts
• Assisting clients with tax planning and company statutory matters
• Maintaining accurate working papers and client records
• Travelling occasionally to meet clients and other business contacts

THE PERSON

• A minimum of four years' recent practical experience within a UK accountancy practice is essential
• Strong experience preparing accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
• Good knowledge of corporation tax and personal tax compliance
• Confident liaising directly with clients and explaining financial information clearly
• Commercially aware, including an understanding of fees and the practice business model
• Strong IT skills, including Excel, Word and Outlook
