Harvey John is recruiting an Accountant for a high-growth property investment and development business in Brighton, East Sussex. The role is permanent and hands-on within a small finance team, reporting to Head of Finance and supporting an Accounts Assistant.

The successful candidate will be an AAT or part-qualified professional with strong Excel skills and experience in QuickBooks or Xero, plus meticulous attention to detail and an analytical mindset.

Qualificações

• AAT qualification or part-qualification (ACCA/CIMA).

• Ability to work on your own initiative within a small finance team.

Responsabilidades

• Producing accurate monthly and year-end financial statements, including balance sheets and P&Ls.
• Reconciling bank accounts, the general ledger, and purchase and sales ledgers, and resolving discrepancies.
• Managing credit control and maintaining healthy cash flow.
• Preparing tax returns and ensuring compliance with current legislation.
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting, analysing performance and helping management control costs.
• Preparing books for audit and acting as a point of contact for auditors.

We're recruiting for a high-growth property investment and development business with a substantial and expanding portfolio across the South of England. This is a hands-on role in a small, friendly finance team. You'll work alongside a Head of Finance and an Accounts Assistant, and you'll have the scope to shape how the finance function develops as the portfolio grows.

This is an excellent opportunity for an AAT or part qualified finance professional looking to get into a high growth, dynamic and evolving environment and establish themselves. What you’ll be doing

• The confidence to work on your own initiative, along with the ability to pitch in as part of a close-knit team
• Property, construction or development experience would be a bonus but isn’t essential
