We are looking for an experienced accounts technician or accounts senior to join a long-established and friendly accountancy practice in the Bolton area. If you have a warm personality and professional expertise, this could be the perfect role for you.
Role and Responsibilities

• Prepare accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
• Handle personal and corporation tax computations
• Compile monthly management accounts
• Conduct bookkeeping tasks using software like Sage and Quickbooks for VAT returns
• Communicate directly with clients, addressing queries, and offering ongoing business advice
• Support and collaborate with team members, including mentoring trainees

Minimum Knowledge and Experience Required

• Experience in a small/medium accountancy practice
• Ideally AAT qualified or equivalent, with strong knowledge of accounts preparation and taxation
• Confidence in visiting clients to assist in maintaining computerised accounting records
• Proficiency in a range of accounting packages, particularly Sage Business Cloud/Sage Line 50
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and strong organisational skills
• Good communication skills and ability to build and maintain client relationships
