Accountant Position at Sheridan Maine

Sheridan Maine is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Hampshire-based client operating in an interesting and niche sector. The role requires a technically strong qualified Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA), with experience from industry or practice.

Working as part of a large team, you will liaise with a range of stakeholders and the wider finance function.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Financial reporting and financial control
2. Provision of financial reports and preparation of financial statements
3. Intercompany accounting, reconciliations, journals, and month-end close
4. Revenue, cost of sales, and stock accounting
5. Capital and operational expenditure
6. Process/system review and enhancement
7. Other ad-hoc projects and activities

Candidate Requirements:

• Experience dealing with a large volume of transactions (preferred)
• Strong technical accounting expertise
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
