Job summary

TPF Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded independent Chartered Accountants firm in Dartford. They seek an ambitious Accounts & Tax Manager who will oversee accounts and tax services for owner-managed clients, with a clear path to Director.

You'll manage a diverse client portfolio, review statutory accounts, and mentor junior staff. The role offers real influence on the practice's future and a supportive, collaborative environment with long-term career progression.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification or experience in accountancy practice.
• Strong accounts and tax review experience.
• Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
• Experience managing and developing staff.
• Commercial awareness with leadership ambitions.

Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of owner-managed clients across industries.
• Review statutory accounts prepared by junior staff.
• Review corporate and personal tax compliance work.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships as the first point of contact.
• Mentor and develop junior team members.
• Identify opportunities to improve client service and growth of the practice.
• Work with Partners with increasing involvement towards Director level.
