We support flexible working and hybrid working options. This apprenticeship is based in Edinburgh with an expectation to work from the primary office throughout the programme. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship for Skilled Worker visas for these roles due to salary requirements. If applicable, consider other vacancies.

Job Description

Shape the numbers. Break the mould. At Lloyds Banking Group, Finance is about making things happen. If you’re one of our Accountancy apprentices, you’re driving the business and shaping decisions from day one.

You will rotate through Finance and beyond to see how we run the organisation. You could be involved in:

  • Keeping us on track in Core Finance with monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Spotting the fine print in Audit & Assurance to ensure accuracy.
  • Being a safety net in Risk & Governance.
  • Plotting strategic moves in Strategic Business Management.
  • Steering the money in Taxation & Treasury.
  • Working with other business areas to understand how we Help Britain Prosper.
  • Collecting stories, skills and lifelong professional connections along the way.

This is hands‑on learning, not passive observation. You’ll forecast performance, produce key reports, analyse risk, advise on investments, and solve complex problems with multi‑skilled teams. You’ll gain a 360° view of how finance powers the Group and develop collaboration, communication and influencing skills.

You’ll master creating, verifying and reviewing accurate, timely financial information and gain exposure to data analytics and next‑gen reporting tools.

We welcome talent from all backgrounds and provide opportunities to demonstrate capability early in the programme.

Your Future and Funding

We’ll cover the cost of your degree and pay you a salary while you learn, with the opportunity to earn a fully funded master’s degree in accountancy and become a Chartered Accountant. By the end, you’ll have the skills and qualifications to advance your career in Finance and beyond.

Salary: fixed apprenticeship salary with potential re‑grading after completion; benefits package available.
