Job Description

Be the direct contact for key stakeholders to be the main executor of the infield brand strategy. Develop customer relationships whilst maximizing opportunities based on strong cross-functional account plans.

Performance

  • Deliver expected volume/sales growth and performance for the territory in line with goals and objectives.
  • Act in line with AbbVie's behaviors.

Customer Focus

  • Develop and implement AbbVie's customer engagement skills.
  • Organize and manage stakeholder meetings, training, and medical education.
  • Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with disease state external experts, speakers, and advocates.

  • Develop smart pre-call objectives aligned with territory strategy and brand goals.
  • Share best practices to enhance business success across Brand Teams.
  • Communicate effectively and adapt style based on insights.
  • Gather insights and understand market dynamics.

Raise the Bar

  • Develop clinical and market knowledge, demonstrating expertise in disease, product, market, and competition.
  • Adhere to industry and AbbVie compliance requirements.
  • Proactively develop competencies as per the framework.
  • Understand the multi-stakeholder environment deeply.

Territory Management

  • Analyze and report sales performance regularly to support data-driven decisions.
  • Initiate and develop growth plans for current and future opportunities.
  • Create an integrated account management plan with cross-functional partners.
  • Identify opportunities and implement innovative practices to overcome barriers.
  • Respond proactively to business opportunities and threats.

Qualifications

  • Experienced secondary care account manager.
  • Relevant industry sales experience in ophthalmology is preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge of industry and local market conditions.
  • Understanding of customer and disease area requirements.
  • Knowledge of policies, protocols, and political environment of institutional accounts.
  • Action planning and budget management skills.
