Position Summary

Cansel is the largest Trimble re-seller in Canada. As one of Cansel’s Municipal, Utility & Police Services Account Manager (inside sales), you will need drive and enthusiasm to sell this equipment. We are seeking someone with experience as a surveyor or in engineering/surveying, and sales training will be provided.

In this role, you will...

  1. Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential leads through outreach via phone, email, and social media. Use Salesforce and other tools to research clients' technical challenges and needs.
  2. Consultative Selling: Engage with clients to understand their requirements and challenges. Leverage your technical knowledge to recommend suitable products and solutions.
  3. Product Knowledge and Technical Expertise: Maintain a deep understanding of our products and industry trends through training and self-study.
  4. Relationship Building: Develop strong client relationships through regular communication, addressing inquiries, and ensuring satisfaction.
  5. Sales Pipeline Management: Manage leads from generation to closure, keeping accurate records and tracking progress in the CRM system.
  6. Collaboration: Work closely with sales, engineering, and product teams to develop solutions and ensure clear communication.

About you...

  • Degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Business, or Engineering.
  • Proven experience in technical sales with a track record of meeting targets.
  • Strong understanding of technical concepts in software, hardware, IT, or engineering.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Interpersonal skills and rapport-building ability.
  • Self-motivated with proactive sales approach.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and sales tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Bonus points:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Construction, Survey, Civil Engineering, or Geomatics, or relevant experience.
  • Experience in sales within the AEC industries.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRMs.
  • Bilingual in French and English is an advantage.
