Role: Regional Account Manager (Field based - West London to Slough and surrounding areas)

Location: Remote (must be within region)

As a result of growth and transformation, Royal Mail are looking for a dynamic, results-driven and passionate account management professional to take ownership of a portfolio of approximately 50 - 65 customers. You will drive revenue growth, retention, and the successful delivery of key commercial initiatives. You will work autonomously in a fast-paced environment, leveraging strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and a commercially focused mindset to maximise revenue and profit generation, within the defined West London region.

About the Role

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing customer relationships across your designated geographic region. You will be instrumental in maximising revenue opportunities, ensuring contract renewals, and delivering tailored solutions that meet customer needs. You will act as a customer advocate, representing their interests at senior levels while collaborating with stakeholders to enhance satisfaction and secure the best commercial outcomes.

Your expertise in strategic planning and execution will help shape long-term growth strategies, aligning business objectives with customer expectations. With excellent written and presentation skills, you will craft compelling briefs, pitches, and business cases, driving key initiatives that support business success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent customer interests internally, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure seamless product delivery

  • Mitigate competitive threats by positioning the organisation as the preferred solution provider

  • Provide accurate forecasting and reporting while maintaining compliance with internal policies

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to identify and act upon emerging trends

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire and influence

  • Highly commercial mindset with a focus on revenue and profit generation

  • Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously in a dynamic environment

  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills, capable of delivering compelling pitches

  • Prior experience managing high-value accounts and driving long-term customer growth is desirable, but no essential if you possess the right skills

  • Prior experience of the mail & logistics market would be desirable

Please Note - This is a remote based role, but you will be expected to regularly travel to customers within patch, so you should live in or around the West London to Slough area.
