Account Manager – Purpose Communications – Energy/ Engineering

We are looking for a talented and thoughtful Account Manager whose primary role would be to provide consultancy support with energy clients globally. The nature of the work focuses on building a strong and united internal culture, enhancing employee morale and improving safety behaviour as well as promoting the crucial role that energy providers play. They do this through various internal and external channels such as an internal newspaper, recognition programme, website, social media and press releases.

Ideally, the candidate will have three to five years’ work experience, be an accomplished writer, a good project manager and be comfortable with technical subject matter. You will enjoy working with clients from diverse cultures and interested in building strong relationships with different stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a communications team to develop internal and external communications campaigns such as monthly newspapers, social media and website content.

• The role includes:

o Maintaining and building one-to-one client relationships, providing counsel and strategic guidance

o strategic campaign planning

o project management

o writing content

o liaison with our designers to create collateral. Other opportunities may include:

• Involvement in company communications by creating social media posts and working on our Purpose report.

• Being actively involved in the B Corp community.

Experience and Skills

• Excellent writing skills as well a keen sense of news and angles.

• Social media experience and knowledge of social media analytics tools including Facebook, Instagram and Tiktok.

• Excellent listening and empathy skills – ability to gain deep levels of trust and support from client.

• Excellent organisational and planning skills; attention to detail.

• Experience in analysing and gaining insights from data, research material and qualitative conversations.

• Good critical thinking skills – willingness to curiously and respectfully question the status quo. Beneficial:

• Energy sector and corporate communications experience desirable.

• An interest in human behaviour, psychology and behavioural change.

• Knowledge of WordPress.

• Knowledge of Arabic or Mandarin ideal but not essential

• A flexible hybrid work schedule of 4 days in our offices in Covent Garden and 1 day at home
