Account Manager

Reports to: Account Director/Senior Account Director

Job Summary

Working closely with other members of the client services team and in partnership with Medical Writers, you will work on various clients to ensure successful and timely planning, development, and implementation of project deliverables to the highest quality standards.

  • Act as the point of contact for specified clients
  • Take full responsibility for and manage the day-to-day delivery of all projects associated with assigned clients
  • Ensure effective communication of project briefs to the internal team
  • Coordinate effectively and efficiently with appropriate team members
  • Ensure all projects are on brief when delivered
  • Ensure timely delivery of projects
  • Keep clients continually updated on project progress
  • Manage all financial aspects of project delivery
  • Collaborate with the Account Director in developing the clients
  • Be responsible for the approval process and quality control
  • Understand various client brand and disease areas
  • Support relationships and interactions with key opinion leaders (clinical, industry, NHS)
  • Support and maintain working relationships with all clients, including senior contacts, as appropriate
Experience, Skills, and Qualifications
  • Experience as a Senior Account Executive or Project Executive within a healthcare agency
  • An interest and basic understanding of science and medicine
  • Sound project management and analytical skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize; excellent time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
  • Good understanding of the ABPI code of practice
