Job summary

Canon EMEA in the United Kingdom seeks a field-based Account Manager to develop strategic relationships across Corporate and Government print sectors in the North of England. You will own the territory, drive high activity, and progress opportunities from first contact through to profitable solutions.

You will engage with Business Unit owners and C‑level executives, leading strategic discussions on investment, production efficiency, and growth.

Qualifications

  • Proven track-record in securing high-value capital equipment or solutions-based sales.
  • Experience engaging with Business Unit owners and C-level executives.
  • Strong account planning capability and strategic business development.
  • High levels of daily sales activity, prospecting, and pipeline management.
  • Financial literacy with ability to interpret performance metrics and build business cases.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and executive‑level negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships within Corporate and Government Print sectors, identifying new business opportunities while growing existing accounts.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships at Business Unit owner and C‑suite level within Canon customer accounts.
  • Maintain high levels of sales activity, prospecting, and pipeline development to drive territory growth.
  • Demonstrate deep understanding of print business models and ROI/cost‑per‑sheet analyses.
  • Forecast revenue, gross margin, solutions, and units monthly and quarterly to meet targets.
  • Lead and coordinate virtual teams to deliver complex production print solutions.

Working as a field‑based Account Manager in the North of England within Canon’s Professional Printing business, you will play a pivotal role in developing strategic relationships across both the Corporate and Government Professional print sectors. This position requires a high‑activity, highly motivated individual who takes full ownership of their territory and consistently creates and progresses new opportunities. You will engage directly with Business Unit owners, Production and Procurement teams, in both Corporate and Public Sector organizations, developing solutions‑led propositions highlighting the value of working with a market leading print company. You will lead strategic discussions around investment, production efficiency, and business growth. Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships within the both the Corporate and Government Print sectors, identifying new business opportunities while growing existing accounts.
  • Build trusted advisor relationships at Business Unit owner and at C‑suite level within both new and existing Canon customer accounts.
  • Maintain high levels of sales activity, prospecting, and pipeline development to drive sustained territory growth.
  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of print business models, both through and off frameworks.
  • Apply strong technical knowledge of digital toner, finishing solutions, and workflow automation in customer discussions.
  • Develop and present robust financial justifications, including ROI and cost‑per‑sheet analysis.
  • Accurately forecast revenue, gross margin, solutions, and units on a monthly and quarterly basis to meet financial targets.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of account activity within Salesforce (SFDC).
  • Lead and coordinate virtual teams to deliver complex, multi‑stakeholder production print solutions.
Qualifications

The salary for this role us paying up to £45,000 (base) dependent on experience + £45,000 (OTE) + £5,856 (car allowance)
