JOB DESCRIPTION

As an industry leader in water technology, we are maintaining and growing, so we need talented people like you to help us continue to protect the world’s most vital resource.

Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company, seeks an Account Manager to join its industry-leading sales team. You’ll be responsible for revenue and profitable growth of programs and services to both local and global major accounts. Using a consultative sales approach, you’ll build relationships with existing customers by executing system assurance programs that meet their key business needs. With strong account leadership, you’ll also convert strategic competitive accounts and sell new technologies to current customers.

This role is a Senior Account Manager for the North West England area, managing a specific account base, working closely with a dynamic team to carry out weekly/monthly technical service visits for utility systems on Manufacturing, Food and Beverage, and Institutional customers.

What You Will Do:

  1. Lead the TCO drive on each site focused on both organic and prospect growth.
  2. Be accountable for all compliance associated with the assigned territory.
  3. Coordinate internal and 3rd party activities on assigned customer sites.
  4. Support and coach within a small team.
  5. Generate and execute sales plans and strategies to close new opportunities within existing customer base and major, competitively-held accounts to meet profit goals. Approximate sales time is 30%, with the rest dedicated to service and account management.
  6. Work closely with large, strategic current and prospective customers to understand their business needs and recommend improvement and innovation plans to maintain and grow sales.
  7. Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including plant or facility executives, and collaborate with corporate and local managers.
  8. Engage in problem solving through system analysis, data interpretation, and providing written recommendations to optimize customer operations, working towards sign-off of TCO opportunities.
  9. Demonstrate ability to stabilize jeopardy business in large, strategic accounts.

What’s in it For You:

  • Join a growth-oriented company offering a competitive salary, bonus, and benefits.
  • Receive a company vehicle and cell phone.
  • Long-term career advancement in service, sales, or management.
  • Access to innovative training programs.
  • Support from a dedicated technical service team.
  • A safety-first culture with training and personal protection.
  • Work for a company committed to providing clean water, safe food, and healthy environments.

Territory/Location Information:

  • Based in North West England with flexible location.
  • Coverage within approximately 150 miles radius.
  • Targeted industries include Institutional, Food & Beverage (Dairy, Alcohol), and Light Manufacturing.
  • Some overnight travel required.

As a trusted partner, your customers will rely on you for their success. Nalco Water is committed to your success and provides comprehensive training programs, including field and headquarters sessions, covering technology, product, service, business, industry, sales, and leadership topics. Travel for training is arranged and paid for by Nalco Water. Relocation assistance may be provided for the right candidate.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Five years of technical or field sales support experience.
  • Valid Driver's License and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
  • Immigration sponsorship not available.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in engineering (chemical, mechanical, industrial) or life sciences (biology, chemistry). Other degrees considered.
  • Experience in water treatment or specialty chemicals.
  • Knowledge of boilers, cooling towers, and wastewater systems.
