(Key) Account Manager Meat– Northern UK
The function
As an Account Manager Meat, you will be an expert in our meat processing. You will undergo a training program to acquire this knowledge, with duration depending on your skills and experience. You will work with and support other Account Managers, agents, and back office to determine customer needs. This role is ideal for those seeking the next step in their international career. You will be responsible for opening new customer doors and managing existing customer relationships within the market.
Main responsibilities:
Manage the sales process from prospecting to take-over protocol. During customer meetings, assess project sizes and requirements for success. Support is available from Product Specialists and Sales Engineers throughout all phases. Projects may range from a single machine to a full-line integrated system.
Negotiate final deals, including handling terms and conditions with support from our legal department and your manager.
Contribute to strategic planning for Northern UK, including preparing and executing annual sales plans with your manager.
Participate in international exhibitions, demos, and events.
Requirements:
Hold a bachelor degree in a technical field (preferably mechanical engineering or food processing technology).
Have 3-8 years of experience in a technical sales environment with ambitions to develop further as a sales professional in a market-leading company. Experience with machinery in the food sector is preferred but not mandatory.
Be proactive, empathetic, energetic, result-oriented, independent, and entrepreneurial. Approach tasks pragmatically, with good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Be willing to travel approximately 70% of the time.
