ACCOUNT MANAGER (PR & Communications)

LUXURY TRAVEL & WELLNESS

The Role:

AKA is looking for a talented Account Manager to join our team in London and take the lead on hospitality, travel, and wellness accounts. This team member will play an essential role in shaping strategic campaigns and managing client relationships. The candidatewill be responsible for developing and executing media, event, and influencer campaigns, while mentoring junior team members and ensuring the successful delivery of projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with hotel and spa clients and established relationships with top-tier consumer and trade media.

The candidate will work closely with the Directors and Co-Founders, leading projects, providing strategic guidance, and acting as a key point of contact for clients. Team memberwill serve as a trusted expert, balancing creative thinking with a results-driven approach, all while contributing to new business development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Leadership: Act as the day-to-day point of contact for clients, ensuring the smooth running of client portfolios. Provide strategic direction and thought leadership on client accounts.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and guide junior team members, setting an example in client management, results delivery, and creative problem-solving.
  • Media Relations: Leverage strong media contacts to secure top-tier coverage across consumer and trade press, ensuring brand visibility and impact.
  • Campaign Development: Lead the development of integrated media, influencer, and event campaigns. Own the end-to-end process, from ideation to execution.
  • New Business: Support the development of new business opportunities and actively contribute to pitches and proposals.

Qualifications:

  • Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience in Public Relations, Marketing, and Digital Media Management, with a focus on hospitality, travel, wellness, or lifestyle industries.
  • Media Expertise: Strong media pitching and press release writing abilities, along with an established network of relationships with consumer and trade media.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience managing and mentoring junior team members, ensuring successful team collaboration and project delivery.
  • Client Relationship Management: Ability to manage multiple high-profile accounts, consistently exceeding client expectations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and media platforms.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
