About the role

The Account Manager (AM) manages the end-to-end sales process for specific customer segments, identifying opportunities, managing account planning, and executing sales strategies to drive business growth and market share, focusing on clinical and economic stakeholders.

This permanent position is part of the UK & Ireland Interventional Oncology (IO) Team within the Peripheral Interventions Division, covering South East and South Central England, working with a team of 8 Account Managers, 3 Clinical Specialists, a Therapy Development Manager, and a Product Manager.

The product portfolio includes therapies and technologies offering minimally invasive alternatives to surgery for cancer treatment, embolisation products, and other solutions within an established portfolio.

The territory covers Oxford to Southampton and the South East coast. Join a motivated team selling a portfolio with ongoing innovation and data development.

Your responsibilities will include
  • Developing annual strategic plans with detailed business intelligence on accounts.
  • Understanding account needs and developing detailed account plans, supporting RSM in Top Tier 1 accounts and managing others independently.
  • Building stakeholder maps and action plans, updating account information regularly.
  • Maintaining relationships with economic and clinical stakeholders, promoting health economics and engaging decision-makers.
  • Supporting clinical colleagues in sales opportunities and clinical support-based selling.
  • Gathering information on tenders and negotiations, preparing proposals, and participating in negotiations.
  • Developing deal models and supporting RSMs in Top Tier 1 accounts.
  • Reaching out to customers for new agreements and identifying future opportunities.
  • Updating sales activities in CRM and participating in QBRs with RSMs.
What are we looking for in you
  • Degree in Biomedical Sciences or healthcare-related field (beneficial).
  • Experience in medical device or pharmaceutical sales (beneficial).
  • Ability to understand and communicate complex technical and clinical details.
  • Adaptability to a dynamic marketplace.
  • Strong teamwork, relationship-building, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated with influencing skills.
  • Flexible, focused, persistent, and willing to travel extensively.
