Job Description:

GENERAL SUMMARY

The Account Manager provides proactive execution of group sales processes and coordination operations as directed by the Director, Group Sales - Account Management & Training.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP

Under the general supervision of the Director, Group Sales - Account Management & Training, works with specified members of the group sales team, member hotel sales managers, and clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Support a minimum of two (2) Group Sales Directors.
  2. Maintain accurate sales tracking, sales account management, and database records through effective use of all PTG sales tools and systems including CRM, www.phgmeetings.com, and brand member portals.
  3. Assist in monitoring the Group Desk Inbox and provide minimal support for Multi-Segment Sales Directors as needed.
  4. Ensure detailed and professional responses to all client/member hotel group sales requests.
  5. Distribute all group leads to hotel members and all group lead profiles as directed by our established SOPs. Qualify leads, update database with lead profile distribution to members, and follow up within 48 hours of non-response, assisting with report generation as needed.
  6. Maintain timely and thorough communication with clients, sales directors, and hotel members regarding program information daily.
  7. Coordinate and organize regional sales events and activities with hotel members and clients in conjunction with sales managers.
  8. Assist with collateral distribution as required.
  9. Develop a thorough knowledge of hotel members, Preferred Travel Group, and clients.
  10. Assist in organizing and coordinating events, participate in client event marketing, planning, and execution as requested.
  11. Collect post-convention production and pickup from member hotels.
  12. Assist clients and Sales Directors with hotel visits, including setting appointments and sales calls.
  13. Support special projects and prepare reports such as activity and production reports as needed.
  14. Provide comprehensive telephone and email support to the Sales Director.
  15. Maintain punctuality, professional attire, and a positive appearance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Completion of university or college, or travel industry experience preferred. Key qualities include discipline, organization, communication skills, perseverance, multi-tasking ability, sensitivity to client information, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Additional language skills are advantageous.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is performed in the office of Preferred Hotels, with a well-decorated environment and necessary technology. The role involves predominantly seated work.
