Job description

Job Title: Account Manager (5 month FTC)

Reporting to: Sales Director

Location: (Office based) 5th Floor, 1 Fetter Lane, London, EC4A 1BR

Occasional travel according to business needs (fully reimbursable)

Purpose of the role:

To drive sales of all relevant Company brands through building and managing positive relationships with existing clients, as well as prospecting new clients to ensure that sales objectives are achieved, and the long-term success of the Company is maintained. To be the "face" of Movado Group (MG), representing the company and its brands professionally at all times.

Main Responsibilities

  • To have a clear understanding of all Movado brands, including:
    • Ad Lines / Best Sellers / Icon lines
    • Newness / Discontinued lines
    • Marketing campaigns
  • Be the point of contact for all nominated accounts and to develop trusted and profitable relationships with those customers (including meeting virtually every 4-6 weeks)
    • Ensure ranges are kept in line with planned season selections as above. All items are live on the site and in stock, at all times across all channels
    • Generate order proposals
    • Monitor sales performance & make suggestions to improve
    • Assist in resolving complaints / disputes as they arise
    • Keep a record of all calls and relevant details (Contact reports)
  • To meet sales targets, providing regular performance progress and feedback to both internal and external stakeholders
    • Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts such as brand extensions
    • Forecast and track sales weekly providing visibility to the business
  • To monitor and review sell out data using MG sales and BI systems to ensure all our opportunities are maximised
  • New Business development
    • Assess potential of any new business enquiries and send to relevant Account Manager for follow up
    • Seek out new distribution opportunities by looking for gaps in distribution
  • To engage with Marketing to ensure the Company is targeting all relevant marketing opportunities and to communicate any brand marketing activity to the brand portfolio, always ensuring that our brands are represented in line with brand guidelines. Within assigned customer base:
    • Check website compliance and ensure assets are used within guidelines
    • Seek out opportunities to promote our brands increasing visibility
  • To manage sales administration in line with business needs
Skills/Attributes Required

  • A passion for sales and account management with proven experience in delivering results
  • The ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time, whilst paying strict attention to detail
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills with the ability to build rapport and negotiate with clients
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of the wider Movado team
  • Previous experience with fashion/lifestyle watch or jewellery brand (desirable)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft including Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Driving performance of poorer performing stores
