Are you an Account Manager with knowledge of and a love for cycling or an active lifestyle? If so, SHIFT Active Media may have the perfect role for you. Note: This role is 3 days a week in the office in Bath, England.

As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of integrated communications strategies, including Paid, PR, creative, and organic social media — from the inception of the brief to the presentation of the finished strategy — working alongside our Business Directors & Head of Departments. You will monitor campaigns, report on results, and present actionable learnings to internal stakeholders. Great communication, organization, and project management skills are essential.

Client liaison is a core part of this role, so being a people person is crucial. We’re looking for a natural relationship builder with excellent rapport-building talents.

The Role

The work will be varied, and you'll collaborate with clients worldwide who share a passion for cycling or an active lifestyle.

The role will require you to:

1. Project Management and Communication: Demonstrate exceptional project management skills, meticulously planning and tracking tasks to ensure timely, high-quality delivery. Maintain keen attention to detail from initial briefing to final execution. Communicate clearly about project objectives, progress, and challenges to keep stakeholders aligned and informed.
2. Written and Presentation Skills: Produce well-crafted, well-laid-out presentations and documents, and present them confidently and engagingly.
3. Reliability: Be organized and focused, managing your own time effectively. Take responsibility for completing tasks within deadlines.
4. Marketing Knowledge: Embrace digital, social, and mobile channels, with a strong understanding of traditional channels, consumer usage, and possibilities.
5. Initiative: Think proactively, tap into culture, and pre-empt client requests.
6. Client Business Understanding: Develop insights into the client’s business model, performance, market, products, threats, and success metrics. Apply this knowledge to all projects.
7. Brand Understanding: Understand and articulate a brand’s tone of voice, target audience, and positioning, and suggest ideas to strengthen brand positioning.
8. Team Collaboration: Support outstanding delivery, manage client stakeholders, inform and inspire the agency team, and foster creativity.
9. Digital and Data Skills: Continually learn about digital strategies, leverage data, and connect insights across disciplines.

About you:

At the Account Manager level, we expect relevant marketing and account management experience, ideally from a marketing communications agency. You should have experience developing strategies as part of a team, along with project and account management skills. A minimum of three years’ relevant experience is preferred.

You must possess superb communication and organizational skills to meet deadlines. A passion for cycling is highly desirable; if not cycling specifically, then a strong interest in sports and outdoor activities is preferred.
