An established industry player is seeking a dynamic Account Manager to join their Automotive team. This exciting opportunity involves selling innovative solutions to Tier1 global accounts across the UK and Ireland. Sales Manager R&A
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Automotive team, selling our solutions to the Tier1 global accounts across the UK. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the account strategy focused on share of wallet growth, profitability, and customer satisfaction. The candidate will develop, plan, and execute your customer strategy based on local/global strategies to ensure high customer satisfaction and growth, aligning with ABB’s Automotive sales strategy to improve market penetration and growth aspirations. This role is UK & Ireland based and home-based. You will secure profitable sales within your designated area(s), in line with Global and Local Go to Market Strategies, through robot product sales and standard solutions designed, built, and delivered locally, as well as solutions from regional application centers. Building long-term customer relationships and providing immediate responses to specific customer requirements and concerns are essential.
You will sell products/solutions/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix, and profitability targets, supporting primarily End Users in the Tier1 space, and global key accounts. Your responsibilities include negotiating specifications and pricing, maintaining maximum margins, preparing quotes supported by CRM (SalesForce), and managing opportunity pipelines and visit reports. You will participate in developing sales strategies, set and achieve sales targets, understand customer needs, and communicate ABB’s solutions effectively. Monitoring client financial status and managing risks related to contracts and pricing are also part of your role.
You will work towards personal and business targets set annually, contributing to team goals, and aligning with ABB’s 4Cs – Collaboration, Curiosity, Courage, and Care. Maintaining high engagement levels through ABB’s QCE program and developing strategic partnerships are key. Ensuring integrity and compliance with ABB values and ethics in all activities is mandatory.
