Are you a technically minded sales professional looking for your next challenge? This Account Manager role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge automation and control solutions, selling into a wide range of businesses from SMEs to blue-chip organisations. If you thrive on building relationships, uncovering opportunities, and driving sales growth, this could be the perfect role for you.

The Role

As an Account Manager, you will manage and grow an existing territory covering Coventry and Milton Keynes. You'll be responsible for a portfolio of around 50 accounts, generating approximately 2 million in revenue, while also identifying and securing new business opportunities. Your role will involve:

  1. Managing and developing relationships with new and existing customers.
  2. Understanding customer needs and delivering tailored technical solutions.
  3. Collaborating with an internal sales team and technical specialists to provide high-quality service.
  4. Working independently to create and implement a sales strategy within your territory.
  5. Attending customer meetings 4 days a week, with home-based planning.

What We're Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  1. Strong sales or account management experience.
  2. A proactive, results-driven mindset with excellent organisational skills.
  3. Confidence in handling objections and presenting solutions.
  4. An interest in technology and automation, with the ability to learn new technical concepts.
  5. Experience in industrial automation, control, or a related field is an advantage, but training is provided.
  6. GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English.
