Account Manager, ANZ FSI Capital Markets & Payments

DESCRIPTION

Would you like to be part of a team focused on increasing adoption of Amazon Web Services by helping Financial Services customers in Australia?

The successful candidate should be a self-starter, capable of developing and executing an account coverage plan, and consistently meeting revenue targets. The ideal candidate will have both a sales and technical background, enabling engagement at the CXO level as well as with software developers, IT architects, and other customer executives. The Account Manager should be an analytical thinker who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments, with strong communication and presentation skills.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Drive adoption within a defined set of accounts to meet or exceed revenue targets through education and engagement.
  2. Develop and execute a strategic plan to create a robust sales pipeline, including opportunities in existing accounts and new business in untapped customers.
  3. Manage multiple accounts concurrently and strategically.
  4. Analyze sales and metrics data to refine strategies.
  5. Collaborate with partners on joint selling opportunities when appropriate.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of technology sales experience, particularly in quota-carrying roles.
  • Experience in identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology deals.
  • Ability to translate customer business and technology priorities into solutions.
  • Proactive in growing customer relationships and expanding their understanding of their business.
  • Proven record of territory growth and quota achievement.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar.
  • Experience in driving new business in greenfield accounts at the C-suite level or equivalent.
  • Recommend studying the AWS Cloud Practitioner course to better understand the role and interview process, available free online on the AWS website.
