An Account Manager or Sales Executive in York is wanted by a rapidly expanding successful training business that operates across various markets and sectors.

This position is suitable for someone new to sales or already working in a similar role. If you are looking to get into sales and account management, this role offers support and training, provided you have the right attitude, ability, and desire to succeed.

The role involves making warm calls to existing and dormant accounts to expand previous sales of training courses and develop accounts further. You will work closely with the Business Development Manager to help achieve organizational targets and develop your career within a company that values internal and external development of individuals and promotes from within.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing customer training from needs analysis to delivery and post-training evaluation.
  2. Making professional outbound calls to decision-makers in existing accounts to generate orders.
  3. Anticipating future training needs based on customer feedback.
  4. Responding to incoming sales inquiries with accurate information.
  5. Collaborating with the marketing team on email campaigns and following up responses.
  6. Updating CRM with client information accurately.
  7. Replying promptly to customer emails and calls.
  8. Attending exhibitions and client meetings nationwide.

Requirements include:

  • Experience in sales and/or account management.
  • Strong client management and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and confident telephone manner.
  • Professional approach and ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Exposure to or selling into sectors like M&E, Universities, NHS, Councils is advantageous but not essential.
  • Ability to think on your feet and understand client needs to match solutions.
  • Proven prospecting skills and relationship-building through consultative selling.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
