DP World are currently recruiting for an Account Manager to support our business and customer based within multiple locations across the UK (predominantly Swindon/Oxfordshire). Responsibilities

  1. Act as lead point of contact for all customer account management matters;
  2. Build trust and long-lasting relationships throughout purchasing, technical and logistic departments of our customer;
  3. Understand contract specifications/requirements and follow guidelines as indicated by the DP World customer interface;
  4. Fully understand the development, administration and technical aspects of the companies finance program within the Account Management department;
  5. Support preparation of pricing, cost estimates and all other commercial related documents as part of the quotation response package together with the Senior Account Manager;
  6. Defend pricing to DP World internal staff and customers;
  7. Ensure a timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives;
  8. Forecast and track key account metrics and clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly/yearly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders;
  9. Understand market needs and explore opportunities over and above current service portfolio;
  10. Support Senior Account Manager in quotation processes and presentations for the existing business and new opportunities;
  11. Identify new topics or activities which are not properly covered by existing contracts and agreements. Report them on a weekly basis;
  12. Raise Change Request Forms (CRF), push for approval and keep a detailed record of all documents. Report them on a weekly basis;
  13. Support preparation of presentations for weekly and monthly business reviews and present commercial topics during reviews;
  14. Monitor important contractual KPIs (Productivity, Downtimes, Sales revenue, and their target fulfilment). Report regularly to Senior Management.

Requirements

  1. Degree educated in related disciplines (Finance, Marketing or similar)
  2. Demonstrated experience in Account Management including the use of pricing templates, cost databases, and other supporting tools
  3. Excellent knowledge of the automotive industry, services and products in the automotive sector, market specific requirements & procedures and a high sense of urgency
  4. A good understanding of production and logistics channel processes and their costs
  5. Effective interpersonal skills, with proficient oral and written communications across all levels
  6. Highly customer focused with ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders
  7. Ability to empathize and understand client viewpoint (read what is on their mind) and requirements and act as their champion within the DP World internal organization
  8. Ability to interpret data and derive solid conclusions from analysis.
  9. Possess strong IT skills, particularly MS Excel, & PowerPoint.
  10. Ability to create structure and organization within a fast-moving environment
  11. Sound commercial awareness
  12. Able to cope with time pressure and has the flexibility and willingness to see the job through
  13. Willingness to travel between locations within Oxford, Swindon and the Midlands
  14. Bi-lingual would be highly desirable with German language skills
