Overview

Job Title: Account Manager

Location: North East England (with travel as required)

Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

Benefits: Bonus scheme, pension contribution, training and development opportunities, and travel allowances

Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, with flexibility for travel to customer sites and occasional international visits.

Responsibilities
  • Drive new business and identify profitable opportunities for products, services, and projects.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customer accounts, managing communications at all levels.
  • Analyse customer requirements and support RFQ processes from initial contact through to project delivery.
  • Negotiate proposals, ensuring commercially successful outcomes.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction, escalate issues where necessary, and provide technical support.
  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and documentation.
  • Work closely with technical and commercial teams to ensure smooth delivery of solutions.
Skills & Experience
  • A degree in Engineering or related field (preferred but not essential).
  • At least 3 years' experience in technical sales support, ideally in the automotive sector.
  • Strong technical knowledge of emission control technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
  • Strong commercial and strategic acumen.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise workloads, and manage customer expectations.
  • Willingness to travel to support customer engagements and business development.
