Account Manager
Knutsford, Cheshire
£33,000 - £36,000 DOE

Are you an experienced horticultural sales professional looking for your next challenge? Want to represent a heritage brand with a reputation for quality and service?

This long-established bedding plant nursery has been supplying top-tier plants to independent garden centres and national chains for over 100 years. Working closely with world-leading breeders, they deliver seasonal colour and commercial results across the UK.

As part of their continued growth, they're looking for a passionate and proactive Account Manager to nurture existing relationships and drive sales nationwide.

The Job:

  • Act as the first point of contact for garden centres - from independent shops to multi-site groups.
  • Manage customer accounts, ensuring service is smooth, timely, and friendly.
  • Collaborate with the production and dispatch teams to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Produce weekly availability and "looking good" lists to support sales and logistics.
  • Work closely with directors to shape future ranges and identify new opportunities.
  • Support business development by identifying and engaging new customers.
  • Based at the Cheshire nursery site, with occasional UK travel as required.

What You'll Need:

  • A proven track record in horticultural sales or account management
  • Strong plant knowledge, particularly in bedding or seasonal lines
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Commercial awareness and a detail-oriented mindset
  • Confidence working in a fast-paced, seasonal business
  • Good IT skills and the ability to manage admin and reporting effectively
